Check these out! Sennheiser is showing off their new Momentum headphones at IFA, and wow, they are sweet!

I’m a sucker for simple, industrial, well-crafted design with a touch of style and class and these look like all that and more. Brushed stainless, real leather, adjustable. .

I do love my Dre beats, but I’m generally tired of plastic creaky crap “cans” that look like you’re wearing disposable ear protection.

The real proof lies in how they sound, but I’m keeping my finger’s crossed Sennheiser wouldn’t go to this much trouble to have them sound like crap.

Radiohead has a new kickass vid out for “House of Cards” from their latest album “In Rainbows”. No cameras were used whatsoever. The entire thing was shot with lasers. Checkout the youtube vid below, or download the high-quality version from Radiohead’s own website:

Beck – Modern Guilt

Beck’s long been a hero of mine since I crashed my soul into his “Sea Change” album a couple years ago when i was going through some hard times. If all you remember of Beck is “loser” then you owe yourself an update. “Sea Change”, “Mutations”, and “Midnite Vultures” are all solid albums that deserve a spin on your crack music player of choice.

A warning though, don’t listen to “Sea Change’” without a case of beer and time to let the tears flow. .

Ok, enough about his past stuff, this new album, “Modern Guilt” is a twist on a lot of the styles he’s already teased us with, but still manages to push some boundaries. He doesn’t pull it off on all the tracks, and there’s a couple I tend to skip, but “Orphans”, “Chemtrails”, “Modern Guilt”, “Soul Of A Man”, and “Volcano” are all great.

New Portishead Album – “Third”

Just heard about this on NPR this morning. Portishead has released their first new album in ten years. It’s called “Third”, and from the sounds of the clips they played during the NPR interview they’re once again pushing the boundaries of the genre.
